Culture Inc. is an art center that provides activities and workshops for youth 6-18, primarily after school. Our 4,000 sq. ft. facility houses art and recording studios, a dance and exercise room, Apple computer/Rosetta Stone lab and 2 tutoring rooms.

Our mission is to develop Des Moines-area youth into balanced, productive leaders by guiding creative outlet, unleashing artistic potential, exposing participants to cultural diversity and building confidence through accomplishments.

We offer tailored, one-on-one arts education during the hours when youth are most likely to engage in destructive behaviors. Culture Inc. is not only a safe and nurturing place to be, but also provides dedicated resources to fostering skills in fine art, music, dance, beat production, creative writing and beyond.

Although our afterschool and summer programs focus on art and culture, we offer educational and family support programs to supplement the creative growth and outlet happening on a daily basis. Culture Inc. has been blessed with the presence of local artists who lend their talents through workshops, classes and mentoring. A special gift from one of them was the writing of a song that captures the essence of Culture Inc.
